Deck Plans
When you've assigned a recognised ship name to a cruise and Cruise Buddy ships bundled deck plans for that ship, the Overview tab shows a Tap to view deck plans hint near the cabin section.

Opening the viewer
There are two routes in:
- Overview tab — tap the cabin/deck card.
- Direct URL — internally
/cruise/<id>/decks, which is what the Overview card uses.
The viewer opens to the deck you entered in the Cabin step of the wizard. If you didn't enter a deck (or the deck number isn't in the bundled plans), it opens to the lowest available deck.
Pan and zoom
The deck plan is a high-resolution image. You can:
- Pinch to zoom in and out.
- Drag with one finger to pan around.
- Double-tap to zoom in on a point; double-tap again to reset.
Switching decks
There are two ways to change deck:
- The dropdown at the top picks any deck.
- Previous deck and next deck arrows step through the decks in order.
Switching deck resets the pan/zoom so you're not stuck off-screen on the new image.
Key
Some deck plans include a Key explaining the colours and icons used (cabin types, public spaces, restricted areas). Tap the floating key button to bring it up as a sheet.
Supported ships
Cruise Buddy bundles deck plans for a growing list of ships. If your ship isn't supported yet — or the ship name on the cruise doesn't match a bundled ship exactly — you'll see a "Deck plans aren't available for this ship yet" message instead of the viewer. The cruise itself works as normal.
If you'd like a specific ship added, send us a feature request with the ship and cruise line. We add ships based on what users ask for most.
