Cruise Buddy Plus

Documents are part of Cruise Buddy Plus. Without it the section shows a short explanation in their place.

The Documents section stores files attached to the cruise as a whole — booking confirmations, e-tickets, boarding passes, anything you might need on the day. Files for a single port or sea day live on that day's documents instead, and passports and insurance belong to a person.

Adding a document

Tap Add a document and choose a PDF or an image from your device — Files, Photos, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or wherever your browser's file picker reaches. Cruise Buddy keeps its own copy; the original stays where it was.

You can also share a file into Cruise Buddy from another app and choose this cruise as its destination.

Document rows

Each row shows the file name and one of three states:

• On this device — the file is here, and opens even with no connection.
• Waiting to upload — added on this device and not yet uploaded to your account. It uploads at the next sync.
• Not downloaded yet — on your account, but not yet on this device. Opening it downloads it.

Select Open to view the file in your browser.

Deleting

Tap Delete on a document and confirm. The file is removed from this device straight away, and from your other devices when the deletion syncs. A deleted file can't be restored.

Where do these files live?

Each file is encrypted on your device and stored on your account, so it's on every device you sign in to and nobody else — us included — can read it. See Encrypted Sync & Devices.
