Reminder Notifications
Reminders you set in Cruise Buddy can arrive as notifications on your phone, tablet or computer — even when Cruise Buddy isn't open. Notifications are turned on separately on each device, so you choose which devices tell you.

Turning notifications on
Open Settings → Notifications (the same control also appears beneath any list of reminders) and tap Turn on notifications. Your browser asks for permission; choose Allow.
Once on, the card reads "This device gets a notification when each reminder is due." To stop them on this device, tap Turn off.
What the card tells you

How they reach you privately
A notification has to be triggered by our server, because your device may be asleep with Cruise Buddy closed. But our server cannot read your reminders.
So the server is told only when each reminder is due, never what it says. At that moment it wakes your device, and your device writes the notification from its own copy of the reminder. Turning notifications off removes those times from the server.
If a reminder doesn't arrive
- Check the card in Settings → Notifications on the device you expected it on.
- Check that your device isn't in Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode that silences Cruise Buddy.
- The device needs to be on and online at the time. Low-power modes can delay notifications slightly.
- A reminder created while offline is only scheduled once that device has synced.
