Cruise Buddy Plus

The cost planners are part of Cruise Buddy Plus. Without it the section shows a short explanation in their place.

The Planner helps you estimate the big optional extras before you sail — onboard Wi-Fi, drinks packages and gratuities — so you can budget with realistic numbers rather than guesswork. It uses the cruise line's published package prices, multiplied by the length of your cruise.

Estimates only

The figures shown are estimates only and should be used as a guide. Prices change often and vary by sailing — always check directly with the cruise line before making any financial decisions.

How estimates are worked out ​

The Planner reads two things from your cruise:

  • Cruise line — taken from the ship or cruise line you entered. This decides which packages are shown.
  • Cruise length — the number of nights between your departure and return dates. The estimate says which: "Based on 7 nights." Without dates, it shows the price for a single night.

Switch between the three tools with the Wi-Fi, Drinks and Gratuities buttons at the top. Each lists every package the line publishes. Set How many (or Passengers, for gratuities) and the estimates update.

Wi-Fi ​

Wi-Fi packages can have two prices: Pre-book, for booking before you sail, and On board. The Planner shows both where the cruise line publishes both, so you can see what booking ahead saves.

Drinks and gratuities ​

Each has a price per day, multiplied by the length of the cruise and the number you choose.

When no prices are available ​

  • If the cruise has no cruise line or ship, the Planner says so: add one with Edit cruise and prices appear.
  • If Cruise Buddy has no published prices for the line yet, it says "No published prices for this cruise line yet."
