Ship Details

When a cruise's ship is one from Cruise Buddy's catalogue, you can look up facts about it — the cruise line, when it was built, its size, and more.

Opening the ship page

On the cruise Overview, under Booking & cabin, select Ship details next to the ship's name. ← Cruise details takes you back.

Ship details are free for everyone.

What you'll see

The ship's photograph, where there is one, and its facts in groups — for example:

• The cruise line, year built and when the details were last updated.
• Decks with cabins.
• Size and performance — gross tonnage and more.
• Building cost, former names, sister ships and who it was christened by.

Which facts appear depends on what's published for the ship. The page credits the source of the information.

For the ship's layout, open the cruise's Deck Plans.

When a ship isn't found

If the ship on the cruise isn't in Cruise Buddy's catalogue — typed in by hand, or spelt differently — the page says Ship not found. Edit the cruise and choose the ship from the list as you type. Everything else about the cruise works either way.

If your ship is missing, tell us which one and which cruise line it belongs to.

Where the data comes from

Ship facts are published by the Cruise Buddy team from public sources, such as the cruise line's own materials and ship registries, and updated over time without you having to do anything.
