Guided Setup
The first time you open Cruise Buddy on a new account you're greeted with a short introduction, and you can choose to be walked through adding your first cruise. This page covers both.

The welcome screens
A new account sees four short screens:
- Welcome to Cruise Buddy — a quick hello.
- All your cruise plans, in one place — sailings, dates, bookings and details together.
- Built for every cruise traveller — packing, excursions, reminders, travel, documents, spending, port and ship information, and a journal.
- Would you like help adding your first cruise?
Tap Next to move through them. On the last screen:
- Yes, help me add my first cruise opens the guided cruise setup.
- Explore Cruise Buddy goes straight to an empty dashboard. You can add a cruise whenever you like.
The welcome screens appear once per account. They wait until your first sync has finished, so signing in on a new device with cruises already on your account never shows them.
Guided cruise setup
The guided setup is the normal five-step cruise setup, titled Set up your first cruise: Basics, Cabin & party, Money, Itinerary and Review. The Itinerary step includes the P&O Cruises itinerary lookup, which saves typing a whole itinerary in by hand.
Once the cruise is saved, Cruise Buddy opens it. From there the best next steps are:
- Travel — add your flights, hotel and parking.
- People — add who is travelling.
- Packing and To-do — start from the starter lists.
- Money — record the payments you've made.
Starting over
Both are available again from Settings → Setup:
- Restart onboarding shows the welcome screens again. It doesn't change any of your cruises.
- Start guided setup opens the guided cruise setup for another cruise.
